- Visit Village Peddler and the Chocolatorium for a chocolate demonstration and tasting
- Special Christmas Dinner with a visit from a very special guest
Itinerary at a glance:
Day 1 Arrive in Vermont: Arrive in Burlington, Vermont today and transfer to your hotel. Meet your tour manager at 6:00 P.M. for a welcome dinner. Meals: D
Day 2 Church Street Marketplace and Teddy Bear Factory: Enjoy an included breakfast a the hotel before departing for the historic Church Street Marketplace. Described as the “gem in the crown” of the Queen City of Burlington, the Marketplace is a National Register Historic District. Here, you will have time for exploration and lunch on your own. This afternoon you will visit the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory for a guided tour and to see how the furry little friends are made. Check-in to your hotel in Manchester and prepare for an included dinner hosted by your tour Manager. Meals: BD
Day 3 Vermont Country Store, the Hildene Estate and Christmas Dinner: Following breakfast, depart for a visit to the famed Vermont Country Store. Opened in 1946 inside a remodeled general store, the store is still family owned. Lunch today is on your own in quaint Manchester. In the afternoon, you will visit Hildene, the summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln, eldest son of Abraham Lincoln. Enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful estate. Then make a stop at Village Peddler and Chocolatorium for a chocolate demonstration and tasting. Tonight, a special Christmas Dinner is planned with a possible visit from a very special guest. Day 4 Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Woodstock and the Trapp Family Lodge: The first stop today is at Green Mountain Sugarhouse to learn about and taste maple sugar. At Cold Hollow Cider Mill to see the production of their wonderful cider and sample some of their fine apple products including their gourmet cider donuts. Enjoy a drive through Vermont’s state capital of Montpelier before coming to the quaint village of Woodstock. Lunch is included here along with free time to explore Woodstock. Later, check in to the Trapp Family Lodge, our home for the next two nights. Owned by the eldest son of Maria and Baron Georg Johannes von Trapp it has remained in the family since 1942. Your delicious dinner tonight is served in the beautiful Main Dining Room. Afterward, relax and enjoy the amenities of the lodge or maybe take in a feature film in the theater. Meals: B, L, D
Day 5 Tour the Lodge, Ben & Jerry’s and a Sleigh Ride: Begin the day with a hearty breakfast before partaking in a guided tour of the lodge and property. See the film The Real Maria and maybe even meet and greet with a Trapp Family member. Then, climb aboard your coach and head to the famous Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream for a tour and tasting of their delicious ice cream. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in the charming village of Stowe. In the afternoon you will go to the Vermont Gentle Giants for an exciting sleigh ride (weather permitting of course). Return to the lodge to freshen up before dinner. Tonight dinner is served in the Trapp Family Bierhall, featuring brewed lagers and a delicious selection of foods with an Austrian flare. Meals: B, D
Day 6 Dakin Farms and Home: Enjoy one more breakfast in the Main Dining Room before saying good-bye to your mountain retreat. Stop at “Vermont’s Tastiest Attraction”, Dakin Farms to see the production of their gourmet meats and cheeses. Then continue to the Burlington Airport for flights out after 1:00 p.m. Meal: B

Price includes land and round trip air from Omaha. Local transports to Omaha Eppley Field is included with a minimum of 25 travelers.
